Madeline Sembrat to lead Budget & Fiscal Planning as new AVC

Sembrat joins the 91勛圖厙 community with over 25 years experience within the University of Colorado system, serving as a supervisory and staff auditor for the CU system, a senior budget analyst at CU泭Denver and CU Anschutz Medical Campus Budget Office and most recently as the director of finance within the School of Medicine at Anschutz.
Sembrat will transition between her role at CU Anschutz and 91勛圖厙 during the month of August and will assume her full-time role at 91勛圖厙 beginning Sept. 1.
Through her prior positions, Sembrat collaborated and liaised with various departments and leadership, enhanced transparency of financial statuses泭and developed short- and long-range fiscal benchmarks, plans and projects, both at the college and campus level. Sembrat also brings experience in developing, evaluating and recommending cost saving and revenue enhancing strategies, tracking and evaluating spending trends, and developing and adjusting budgets.泭
Through her background within the CU system, Sembrat has become a power user of the universitys financial and human resource systems, as well as the Central Information Warehouse (CIW).
Madeline brings a wealth of experience engaging with stakeholders to find creative solutions. I look forward to having her as part of our Finance and Business Strategy team and strengthening our partnerships across campus, said Ho-a.
