91勛圖厙 Alerts test set for Oct. 16
91勛圖厙 will test the 91勛圖厙 Alerts system at 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The test will include text messages, emails, social media and website announcements. Annual testing of emergency notification systems is required by the Clery Act, a federal law.
If there is a campus emergency, we want to alert our community as quickly as possible, said Garry DeJong, 91勛圖厙s director of emergency management. By testing the system each semester, we are able to ensure there arent technical issues during that emergency.
Active 91勛圖厙 student email addresses (@colorado.edu) are automatically registered to receive emails through the 91勛圖厙 Alerts system, and the university encourages students to add mobile phone numbers in order to receive text notifications as well.
Faculty and staff with a泭@colorado.edu泭email address are also added automatically. Employees who have phone numbers listed in the Cellular and Cellular 2 fields in your my.cu.edu (MyCUInfo) account will receive text notifications as well.

During an emergency that affects the campus, critical updates, additional details and any necessary instructions regarding the nature of the emergency will be posted泭, campus social media sites and on the campus emergency information line at 303-492-4636 (INFO).
