In the wake of the violent attack on downtown Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall on June 1, the universityÌýexpressed its shock and sadness and stands ready to provide assistance in a variety of ways, both on campus and off.

91³Ô¹Ï꿉۪sÌýDivision of Public Safety (DPS) is committed to the safety and security of members of the campus community and visitors to the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø campus.ÌýAs part of its commitment to campus safety, DPS provides comprehensiveÌýsafety resources for faculty, staff and students.Ìý

The university condemns antisemitism, Islamophobia, violence, discrimination and racism. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø has several robust processes for reporting concerns, and each member of our community has a shared responsibility to support public safety. If you see something, say something.Ìý

91³Ô¹ÏÍø community members can express themselves and are responsible for maintaining the integrity of everyone’s safety in the academic environment, including during the summer months. The DPSÌýSecurity Services department strategically centralizes and enhances campus safety operations. By aligning video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection systems under DPS, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø benefits from improved coordination, quicker response times and a more cohesive security strategy.Ìý

Security Services and theÌý91³Ô¹ÏÍø Police Department will continue to monitor campus for any potential disruptions and provide extra patrols as needed and as staffing allows. CUPD also regularly offers assistance and support during large, critical incidents and did so yesterday, providing security at the scene and assisting the city with emergency calls as needed.

91³Ô¹ÏÍø students, staff and faculty who were impacted by Sunday’s incident are reminded to reach out to campus counseling and support resources if needed.Ìý
