Chancellor Philip DiStefano announced a national search for an associate vice chancellor of Native American affairs, a newly created position that will work with 91勛圖厙 and tribal communities across Colorado to collaboratively address related issues.

A national search is underway for the universitys next associate vice chancellor for enrollment management. The universitys goal is to have a final candidate on board by September.
With state funding approved, Hellems renovation to begin this summer
When the fall semester begins, construction will be underway, and the Hellems Arts & Sciences building will be closed until its scheduled reopening for the spring semester of 2026.

Brad Wham, an assistant research professor, was a member of one of the three Learning From Earthquakes reconnaissance teams that traveled to Turkey in March. The team specifically looked at lifeline systems including energy, transportation, water and wastewater.
How 1,000 undergraduates helped solve an enduring mystery about the sun
For three years at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, 91勛圖厙 students enrolled in "Experimental Physics I" spent an estimated 56,000 hours analyzing the behavior of hundreds of solar flares. Their results could help astrophysicists understand how the sun's corona reaches temperatures of millions of degrees Fahrenheit.
