2025School of Education Graduation Recognition Ceremony & Reception

The School of Education Graduation RecognitionCeremony is held each spring for summer, fall, and eligible spring graduates of our bachelor's, teacher licensure, minor, certificate, master's, and doctoral programs, as well as our community scholars from programs housed in the School of Education. Summer graduates are invited to participate in our ceremonythe semester prior to or immediately followinggraduation from 91Թ.
Graduates will need to arrive at outside of Macky Auditorium no later than 7 p.m. to check-in.
- Guests should find seats inside Macky Auditorium.
- The ceremony will last approximately 1-1.5 hours with a reception to follow at Sewall Lawn.
- In the case of inclement weather, please check this graduation web page, your email, or School of Education social media channels for an indoor check-in location.

Important details
Registration is required to attend the 2025 School of Education Graduation Recognition Ceremony.
Purchased required academic regalia — cap, gown, tam, tassel — is required for attending graduates.
- For master's and doctoral students, the deadline for purchasing regalia is Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
- Undergraduate students purchase regalia from the CU Book Store either in-store or online.
We would love to feature our graduates in a fun celebration video that showcases your photos and quotes. Keep your eyes peeled on School of Education social channels and email to see the celebratory video. If you have any questions, please let us know at edu-communications@colorado.edu.
Please submit your information by April 30 for full consideration.
All campus parking lots will be open for public parking on a space-available basis. You may park on campus, including in pay-to-park lots, for no charge on the days of commencement and recognition ceremonies.
For the School of Education Recognition Ceremony, we recommend parking in the Euclid Parking Garage or Lot 265. ADA-accessible parking is available in Lot 380 and a disability parking placard is not required to park in this lot.
The ceremony will be livestreamed for your friends and family who cannot attend. The livestream will be up shortly before the ceremony starts on this webpage.
Real-time captioning in English and Spanish will be available during the ceremony on your mobile devices. Instructions will be available on our graduation website. These links will be added to this page the day of the ceremony.

Abi Wirbel is originally from Colorado, but has always had a strong sense of wanderlust and with a deep passion for seeking new cultural and linguistic experiences in diverse, urban environments.
Trang Tran’s educational journey spans continents and disciplines rooted in a love of learning and a deep commitment to justice that help lead her way to graduate studies at 91Թ.
Iliana De La Rosa’s graduation from the 91Թ fulfills a promise she made to her grandfather when she was 8 years old.
As an eighth grader growing up in Carson City, Nevada, just a short drive from Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Hannah Kaiser had dreamed about attending 91Թ ever since she had searched for colleges in the mountains and saw the Flatirons in the backdrop.
Some of Ashley Kim’s greatest inspirations and biggest cheerleaders were her teachers while growing up in nearby Longmont, Colorado. It was those teachers who continued to welcome her back into the classroom, encouraged her, and inspired her desire to do the same for new generations of students.
Through his belief that “relationships and community are the bedrock of meaningful teaching and research,” Devon Hedrick-Shaw would come to know he had found himself in the right place when he joined the PhD program at the School of Education.
